Volunteer with IncludEd

Volunteering with IncludEd United is a rewarding way to make a meaningful impact in your community while supporting our mission of fostering inclusion in education. Whether you want to mentor young adults at the University of Utah and/or Salt Lake Community College, contribute to community service projects, or help plan our signature events like the IncludEd Gala and IncludEd in Schools Conference, your efforts will help us create a community where everyone can feel "IncludEd." As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to develop valuable skills, build lasting relationships, and make a difference in the lives of others.

Join us today and become a vital part of the IncludEd United community!

IncludEd Mentor Program for Young Adults (18-24) in College

The IncludEd United Mentoring Program connects college graduates from the University of Utah (U of U) and Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) with young adults ages 18-24 who are currently pursuing or enrolled in postsecondary education at the U of U and SLCC. Mentors will provide guidance, support, and insights drawn from their own experiences, including vital information about resources for mental health services and disability services from training with the IncludEd United team. By helping mentees access these critical supports, mentors will play a crucial role in promoting overall well-being and academic success.

Event Planning Teams

The IncludEd Planning Teams play a pivotal role in organizing two cornerstone events for our organization: the annual IncludEd Gala and the IncludEd in Schools Conference. The Gala, a major fundraiser, celebrates our mission and raises critical support for our programs, featuring an evening of inspiration, connection, and generosity. The IncludEd in Schools Conference brings together educators from across Utah to explore innovative practices, share experiences, and foster discussions about creating inclusive environments for underrepresented identities in schools. As part of the planning teams, members collaborate to design impactful programming, coordinate logistics, and ensure both events deliver meaningful experiences that align with IncludEd’s mission of promoting inclusion and equity through education.

Community Service Projects

Join us in making a difference through community service projects that directly impact education! Volunteers may help organize school supply drives, transform classrooms with makeovers, or provide tutoring to students in need. Support literacy by revitalizing local libraries, leading reading programs, or hosting educator and student book clubs. Be part of back-to-school events, tabling various community partner events or art workshops that build community.
